Types of Cuts for Elastic Bands
Elastic segments, in general, and those for engines in particular, are subject to expand over their life. This expansion grows to be greater than the cylinder in which they flow. This happens because the direct thermal effect produced by the fluid sums with frictional heat, which leaves the segment having no possibility of cooling down. For this reason the cut's width must be calculated so that the two ends do not ever touch each other.
The above-mentioned size is established by law, however we do make exceptions for customers' specifications.
